Overview

This component will provide a platform view for jPod, enabling you to implement PDF creation and rendering in a platform neutral way. Here is an (incomplete) Feature List for this implementation:
  • Font and image abstraction
  • AWT rendering
  • SWT rendering
  • Support for numerous image formats

Implementation Details

The patterns referenced in the jPod documentation are still valid here, for sure. An important design factor was NOT to depend an AWT or SWT in the platform independent part in a way that would prohibit a JME implementation. This for example excludes the use of a color space, making the implementation sometimes more complicated. Anyway, as we do not have a JME reference implementation, we can not claim that the goal is reached...
