public class BaseMessageContext
extends Object
implements jakarta.xml.ws.handler.MessageContext

BaseMessageContext is the base class for the two handler message contexts: SoapMessageContext and LogicalMessageContext. It delegates everything up to the MEPContext, which itself delegates to the requestMC or responseMC, as appropriate.
