cloneList

public static <T> List<T> cloneList(List<T> toClone)

This function allows to clone an existing list and returns the new List. Current implementation returns an ArrayList.

Type Parameters:

T - the generic type of the list to be cloned (same as the resulting)

Parameters:

toClone - the list to clone

Returns:

the cloned list

differences

public static <T> List<T> differences(List<T> a,
                                      List<T> b)

Given two lists a and b, this function returns a new list containing all the elements of a not present in b and all the elements of b not present in a. Lists a and b will be not modified by this call.

Type Parameters:

T - the generic type of the lists

Parameters:

a - the first list

b - the second list

Returns:

the list of the differences

arrayToString

public static String arrayToString(Object[] a,
                                   String separator)

Allows to print arrays in a better fashion than a pointer.

Parameters:

a - the array to print

separator - the symbols to use to separate array elements

Returns:

a String representing the array content

contains

public static <T> boolean contains(T[] list,
                                   T element)

This method checks if an array contains an element. It uses the equals() method of the passed Object.

Type Parameters:

T - the generic type of the array

Parameters:

list - the array to check

element - the element to compare the array elements to

Returns:

true if the array contains the element

toByteArray

public static byte[] toByteArray(double value)

Converts a double into a byte array.

Parameters:

value - the double to convert

Returns:

a byte array representation of the double value
