@Generated("software.amazon.awssdk:codegen") public final class AutoScalingPolicy extends Object implements SdkPojo, Serializable, ToCopyableBuilder<AutoScalingPolicy.Builder,AutoScalingPolicy>
An automatic scaling policy for a core instance group or task instance group in an Amazon EMR cluster. An automatic scaling policy defines how an instance group dynamically adds and terminates Amazon EC2 instances in response to the value of a CloudWatch metric. See PutAutoScalingPolicy.

Method Detail
-
constraints
public final ScalingConstraints constraints()
The upper and lower Amazon EC2 instance limits for an automatic scaling policy. Automatic scaling activity will not cause an instance group to grow above or below these limits.
- Returns:
- The upper and lower Amazon EC2 instance limits for an automatic scaling policy. Automatic scaling activity will not cause an instance group to grow above or below these limits.
-
hasRules
public final boolean hasRules()
For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the Rules property. This DOES NOT check that the value is non-empty (for which, you should check theisEmpty()method on the property). This is useful because the SDK will never return a null collection or map, but you may need to differentiate between the service returning nothing (or null) and the service returning an empty collection or map. For requests, this returns true if a value for the property was specified in the request builder, and false if a value was not specified.
-
rules
public final List<ScalingRule> rules()
The scale-in and scale-out rules that comprise the automatic scaling policy.
Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasRules()method.- Returns:
- The scale-in and scale-out rules that comprise the automatic scaling policy.
