Method Detail

merge
public final String merge()
A serialized JSON string that contains the configuration object to merge to target devices. The core device merges this configuration with the component's existing configuration. If this is the first time a component deploys on a device, the core device merges this configuration with the component's default configuration. This means that the core device keeps it's existing configuration for keys and values that you don't specify in this object. For more information, see Merge configuration updates in the IoT Greengrass V2 Developer Guide.
- Returns:
- A serialized JSON string that contains the configuration object to merge to target devices.
-
hasReset
public final boolean hasReset()
For responses, this returns true if the service returned a value for the Reset property. This DOES NOT check that the value is non-empty (for which, you should check theisEmpty()method on the property). This is useful because the SDK will never return a null collection or map, but you may need to differentiate between the service returning nothing (or null) and the service returning an empty collection or map. For requests, this returns true if a value for the property was specified in the request builder, and false if a value was not specified.
-
reset
public final List<String> reset()
The list of configuration nodes to reset to default values on target devices. Use JSON pointers to specify each node to reset. JSON pointers start with a forward slash (
/) and use forward slashes to separate the key for each level in the object. For more information, see the JSON pointer specification and Reset configuration updates in the IoT Greengrass V2 Developer Guide.Attempts to modify the collection returned by this method will result in an UnsupportedOperationException.
This method will never return null. If you would like to know whether the service returned this field (so that you can differentiate between null and empty), you can use the
hasReset()method.- Returns:
- The list of configuration nodes to reset to default values on target devices. Use JSON pointers to
specify each node to reset. JSON pointers start with a forward slash (
/) and use forward slashes to separate the key for each level in the object. For more information, see the JSON pointer specification and Reset configuration updates in the IoT Greengrass V2 Developer Guide.
